About the role
This is a parental leave cover contract until November 2023. Reporting into the Manager, Partnerships and Marketing – Official Visitor Products, you will generate leads, achieve growth and ensure positive collaboration with Melbourne’s visitor industry. You will achieve this by:

About the role
This is a parental leave cover contract until November 2023. Reporting into the Manager, Partnerships and Marketing – Official Visitor Products, you will generate leads, achieve growth and ensure positive collaboration with Melbourne’s visitor industry. You will achieve this by:
- Growing advertising and partnership revenue and achieving quarterly annual targets and KPIs
- Building industry knowledge to develop and implement effective B2B campaigns, programs and activities
- Developing an extensive external industry network and building effective relationships with key stakeholders to pursue successful business acquisition, retention and expansion strategies
- Generating, qualifying, nurturing and converting leads and negotiating advertising and partnership agreements across an allocated portfolio of industry sectors
- Ensuring project deadlines are met, pipeline velocity is maintained and there is consistency in results towards quarterly and annual goals
- Managing the CRM and being able to track data accurately through time recording of daily activities, key client & project information, opportunity status and reporting
This role will involve work out of hours as well as evening or weekend work, including occasional overnight travel.
About You:
- Experience in a business development or partnerships role
- Demonstrated track record of achieving revenue KPIs and targets
- Ability to research and identify trends, develop compelling propositions and pursue new business or partnership opportunities
- Ability to make outbound calls and generate quality leads
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Experience working with CRM platforms and MS Office suite
- Knowledge and/or experience within the visitor industry (particularly in Melbourne and Victoria) is well regarded
