About the role

Reporting to the Head of Category, you will be a data subject matter expert. Working in a team of 5, you will be an integral voice of the business, building and presenting actionable insights across a broad category mix to drive business & category growth. You will work closely with high profile internal stakeholders such as Head of Trade, Merchandisers and Marketing, to extract consumer and category data to draw, communicate and influence insights. You will be skilled in storytelling and use your strong analytical skill set to present and support your recommendations with data and insight.


Skills & experience

The ideal candidate is either working currently in a Category or Insight position within FMCG or Retail whether be at the same level or as an Analyst/Executive aspirational to step up.

Success in this role will come from.
  • Proven success working as a category or insight expert within FMCG
  • You may be currently working as a Category Analyst/ Insights Analyst / or Assistant Category Manager
  • Experience working with within the FMCG manufacturer or Retailer is a must for this role.
  • Proven success building and presenting, influential compelling insight recommendations
  • Advanced skillset working with excel, scan, shopper and consumer data (Aztec, Nielsen, Quantium) – loyalty data is highly advantageous but not essential
  • Degree qualified
  • Team player with an excitement to work in a busy and broad variety of categories
