About the Company

This leading private equity-backed manufacturer and distributer of industrial capital equipment provides innovative products and solutions to the environmental services, manufacturing, and retail industries. With a newly appointment CEO and a renewed appetite for growth, they now wish to appoint a National Service Centre Manager who will be responsible for managing a significant business unit and revenue stream, while ensuring that the organisations national customer base is provided with a best-in-class aftersales customer experience.
 
About the Opportunity

Reporting to the CEO, this business-critical senior leadership role is responsible for driving the sustainable performance and growth of this organisations service division, which encompasses both national field service and inhouse repair centre activities. Key responsibilities include:
  • Ownership of the strategic plan, organisational structure and P&L for the national service and aftersales function.
  • Delivering improved processes relating to scheduling of jobs and labour, quoting, and capacity planning for the onsite service & repair workshops.
  • Delivering an improved talent attraction and retention strategy, including a structured onboarding, induction, and training program for new hires.
  • Driving a culture of safety, high performance, customer-centricity, and accountability.
  • Contributing to the ongoing growth of the service division through the fostering of key customer relationships, internally promoting the cross-sell of service with new equipment sales and identifying opportunities for new business development.
Skills & Experience Required
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and uplift in the capability of people.
  • An industrial services industry background, mechanical aptitude, and experience leading a sizeable regional or national field service function.
  • The ability to effectively lead at the ‘operational / execution’ level, yet with a sound strategic and commercial understanding and the ability to engage and influence effectively at the Executive Leadership level.
