About the Role
Reporting through to the Quality Manager and being part of an established team, you will be focused on working with suppliers to deliver materials of a high quality standard, within specification and meeting ISO 9001 standards. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining the QMS, including all accreditation activities. You will anticipate in and conduct audits, execute the CAPA process and complete root cause analysis to ensure product performance and reliability. There will be many cross functional projects, and you will be integral to improving quality processes.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate needs to be able to relate to a diverse range of people, maintain close communication with engineering and manufacturing to ensure supply and quality of materials, and work alongside R&D, Operations, and Compliance regarding new product launches. Ideally, you will be a qualified mechanical engineer or from a science related field, so you can understand the technical aspects of the industrial designs. You will need at least 2 years’ experience working in a quality team within a manufacturing or industrial setting and have a solid understanding of ISO 9001 and managing the QMS. Experience auditing suppliers would be highly regarded. Collaboration, enthusiasm and being self-directed is important, and the ability to multitask and meet key milestones, is essential.
