About the company
Our client is an innovative supplier of gym equipment who is looking to expand their global success in the Australian market. They have a number of distribution centres nationally and require an experienced warehousing professional to oversee the warehouse processes and functions here in Melbourne.
About the role
The warehouse manager will oversee picking, storage, receiving, dispatching and administrative functions. With a strong priority on inventory, the warehouse manager will also be in charge of training and overseeing warehouse staff, starting with 1 direct report.
This is a newly created role in a brand-new warehouse, our client is looking for a candidate who can drive operational improvements whilst utilizing a very hands on approach.

Duties
  • Keep track of quality, quantity, stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and efficiency.
  • Conducting cycle counts.
  • Resolving delivery inconsistencies or delay.
  • An ability to analyse process and procedures to ensure that targets are met and standards adhered to, in line with company policy.
Skills & Experience
  • 3+ years’ experience working in a warehouse or inventory supervisor/management position.
  • Must have a forklift license.
  • A passion and knowledge of gym equipment.
  • strong excel skills & outstanding attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving and organizational skills.
