Procurement Category Manager
Our client is a market leader with their portfolio of food products enjoyed in households across Australia, New Zealand and across the world. 2023 kicks off an exciting period of investment into transformation of their procurement function, they have created two opportunities for Procurement Category Managers to join them.
The role reports to the Head of Procurement and will take the lead on managing a diverse portfolio of indirects and/or directs categorues for tactical and strategic spend. The role will work on building best in class procurement practices, ways of working and category strategies to create a fully integrated, commercially focused and customer/stakeholder centric procurement function.
Success profile will be a Procurement Category Manager preferably from a FMCG background (or similar). You will consider yourself to be an excellent communicator and be able to work autonomously as well as part of a team and be consultative and directive in approach. You will have a successful trackrecord in category management, tender and supplier management, strong negotiating skills, and a passion for driving results. You will be a strategic thinker with the ability to analyse data, identify trends and opportunities, and develop innovative solutions and be a proactive, postive, can-do, will do person who thrives in a dynamic environment
