About the Company: 
Our client manufactures value-added consumables and equipment. The Company offers industrial packaging, power system and electronics, transportation, construction products, food equipment, decorative surfaces, polymers, and paint spray equipment.

About the Role: 
The Supply Planner is responsible for achieving target levels of stock availability (line fill) and inventory (MOH) for a defined portfolio of products, supporting the Consumer business plan for growth and profitability, developing collaborative relationships with 80’s vendors to improve and simplify the planning process, resulting in optimum lead-times and vendor delivery performance

Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Work with suppliers to understand manufacturing process, constraints and production capacities
  • Provide suppliers with visibility of future purchase forecasts to allow for production planning and raw material purchasing, resulting in optimum lead-times and vendor on time deliveries
  • Manage the purchase value pipeline to smooth orders and ensure alignment with MRD plan. Any significant spikes in planned purchases are investigated promptly to avoid overstock
  • Monitor vendor delivery performance and escalate significant ongoing issues, ensure planning lead-times are accurate
  • Maintain inventory at target level MOH and actively reduce / prevent Slow and Obsolete Stock (SLOB)
  • Actively review the rolling 12 month inventory forecast for defined category to deliver against budget. Work with Supply Management to develop plans to close gaps
  • Achieve target levels of line fill, identify and address future supply issues in a timely manner
  • Be primary Supply Chain interface with vendors, maintain strong relationships providing timely and accurate data
  • Provide Purchase Order to vendors in a timely manner

Skills and Experience: 
  • 3 years minimum experience in a supply chain role
  • Good understanding of manufacturing processes
  • Experience of purchasing imported product on extended lead-times
  • Experience of working with large SKU count portfolios
  • Sound knowledge of demand and supply planning processes and systems
