My client is a progressive poultry/pet food organisation that has customers on a global scale. They are going through significant growth at the moment and are looking to expand their Logistics/Supply Chain team.
 
About the role
 
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Export/Logistics Coordinator will be a key member of the Logistics Team who helps co-provide nutrition to pets internationally. This is a permanent full-time office-based role.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Build effective relationships with external stakeholders including transport companies’ personnel, storage facilities and customers.
  • Timely management of communication between suppliers, customers and internal parties maintaining details and relaying pertinent information to appropriate parties.
  • Day to day management of inventory, ordering, delivery and invoicing through the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
  • Booking freight with the relevant transport companies, forwarders, and shipping lines.
  • Generate required domestic and export documentation for multiple accounts in various stages of completion in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all deliveries are completed in accordance with customer and legislative requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with customs, export, applicable foreign trade/import laws, as well applicable transport regulations.
 
Skills and Experience
 
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in supply chain and logistics roles within Meat/Poultry industry is advantageous.
  • Import/Export documentation exposure.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills
  • Systems Experience – Microsoft Excel and Dynamics 365
