We are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the team and help grow and develop their business through education on their products and providing support to the resellers.
About the Role:
As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for managing retail relationships (bricks and mortar and online), multi-site groups in the pet specialty market, and periodic calls to wholesalers and key corporate groups in Petbarn and PETstock and vet clinics. Your primary focus will be on business/territory growth and development, account management, and education on new and existing products to help our resellers achieve their business goals and deliver the best KONG solution for their customers' pets. You will also be responsible for delivering training seminars and educating staff.

Key Responsibilities:
- Sell and promote KONG products to pet specialty retail (bricks and clicks) businesses, vet clinics, and associated pet businesses.
- Maintain relationships with established pet specialty customers and target further growth within your territory.
- Build new relationships that lead to long-term partnerships.
- Provide education and training support to KONG resellers.
- Work from home when not visiting customers.
Skills & Experience
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Understanding of retail sales and commercials.
- Shelf management and merchandise principles.
- Instore promotional negotiations and costings.
- Pet specialty background is preferred.
