Job Purpose:
The Planning Manager will play a critical role in connecting the company's range and sales ambitions with physical inventory in the right place at the right time. This individual will work closely with the Category, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure that planned activities are accurately reflected in the S&Op, Demand, Inventory and Supply Plan. They will be responsible for ensuring that the supply network is optimized to deliver in full and on time to customers, while also balancing cost and inventory targets with the customer service promise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with Category, Marketing, and Sales teams to ensure that planned activities are accurately reflected in Planning.
  • Continuously monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure that the right products are available in the right quantities in the right locations.
  • Work closely with suppliers and logistics providers to optimize the supply network and ensure timely delivery to customers.
  • Develop and implement inventory management policies and procedures to minimize costs while maintaining service levels.
  • Analyze data and market trends to identify opportunities for improving inventory management processes.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of new product launches, promotions, and other business initiatives.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to inventory management, including inventory turns, fill rates, and order lead times.
  • Manage a team of three direct reports, including a Demand Planner, Inventory Planner, and Supply Planner.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring to direct reports to support their professional growth and development.
  • Ensure that direct reports are meeting performance expectations and objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that planning activities are aligned with broader company objectives.
About You:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in inventory planning and management, preferably in a retail or distribution environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Must be able to use SAP.
