Six Degrees Executive have partnered with Sara Lee, Australia and New Zealand’s number one bakery and frozen dessert business, as they embark on a chapter of growth.

The opportunity:

As the IT Manager, you will be leading the IT function, with specific accountability for IT service delivery, Governance, cyber risk management, and project management.
 
You will play a critical role in establishing and defining processes and technology framework aligned with the new structure and supporting Sara Lee’s transition to being a standalone organisation.
 
Please note that this is both an operational hands on and strategic role, requiring you to be on site four days, with one day a week available for remote work.  Equally, all team members need to wear multiple hats and assist others as needed.
 
Role responsibilities:
  • Manage ongoing technology projects, including ERP upgrades from legacy solutions
  • Manage vendors and develop/deliver a framework for in-house vs external vendor delivery model
  • Identify, monitor and manage potential IT risks and cyber security threats
  • Support Service Delivery, Strategy, Operations and capacity building
  • Re-establish and define Governance, systems and processes
  • Provide on-site support for issues relating to network, printer, end user hardware, and on-premise server infrastructure
 
About you:

To be considered for this position, you will have experience in a similar autonomous/standalone IT Manager role, preferably in the food manufacturing industry, with the following technical capabilities:
  • Server Infrastructure – Virtualisation (vmware), Hybrid Azure/on-premise
  • Networking - preferably Cisco, Firewall, Network segmentation
  • Traditional IT – Active Directory/AD Connect, Group policy, Desktop environment, Windows server and desktop
  • Telephony Cisco CME
  • M365 – Email, Teams/SharePoint, Intune/Autopilot
  • ERP – D365 – Administration, On-site support, Print server/agent management
  • Reporting/data management – PowerBI
 
In addition, you will also:
  • have the maturity and experience to own the IT function in terms of Governance and leadership.
  • be able to deal with ambiguity and work effectively in an environment that is on a ‘change journey’.
  • be operationally hands on in terms of Service Delivery, Capability, Strategy and Operations.
  • have a mature approach and be comfortable presenting your IT vision to the Board.
