Our client is a fast growing worldwide premium manufacturer, of specialty packaging to the food industry. The company has been around for 30 years and is still growing.


About the role

Our client is looking for a finance officer / assistant accountant to support the finance manager in this varied role. This role would suit someone that has a passion for all things finance and loves to be busy. Currently the daily tasks would include but not limited to –
  • Accounts Payable – Consolidation, processing and payment of invoices. 
  • Accounts receivable – Credit Control and management of AR Accounts
  • Banking – including credit card management
  • General Ledger postings and reconciliations
  • Month End processes
  • Intercompany Transactions and correspondence (Europe, AU/NZ)
  • Foreign currency transactions
  • Cashflow forecasting
  • BAS / FBT Returns
  • Finance queries as directed by management
  • Other adhoc finance and administration duties as required
 

Skills & Experience

 The successful applicant will possess the below skills and experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a finance role, ideally as an assistant accountant / accountant
  • Diploma or degree qualified or near completion
  • Experience with SAP and strong Microsoft suite skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen, planning & organisation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Experience in manufacturing or FMCG meat industry will be highly advantageous.
