About the Role
The Branch Manager is a high-profile leadership role wholly responsible for driving R&D, revenue growth, and safe transport and plant operations to deliver a high level of service to customers, protect the environment, and deliver an EBIT return to the business. The Branch Manager creates and fosters a team culture emphasising the utmost importance of safety and compliance in daily operations, in addition to high performance and a values-driven approach to work. Specific accountabilities include:
  • Leading a team of ~15 across laboratory, transport, plant operations, and business administration
  • Coordinating support from a broad network of functional partners such as sales, customer service, admin, OH&S, environmental protection, HR, IT, finance and engineering
  • Leading site and transport operations within an EPA licensed environment
  • Leading improvements in OH&S risk reduction
  • Maintaining EPA compliance and continue to improve environmental protection
The Branch Manager ensures that their business is appropriately resourced from a personnel and equipment perspective to meet targets relating to safety, service and cost, and meet evolving customer requirements. The Branch Manager has full P&L Responsibility for their business and is responsible for financial reporting, budget preparation and cost review and reduction initiatives.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced senior operations professional with a well rounded commercial accumen. Ideally from the industrial services, transport, or chemical industries, you will have demonstrated leadership skills and experience including humility, empowerment, and influence, and exceptional influencing and negotiating skills. Ideally tertiary qualified in chemistry (or related science), your customer-centric focus and the ability to energise and get the best out of your people will be the key to your success in this role.
