About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager and leading a small team, the Fleet & Equipment Manager is high profile position responsible for ensuring divisional driver, fleet and equipment safety and compliance, in addition to the effective utilisation of a large pool of assets.
The Fleet & Equipment Manager will work with the broader business on long term fleet strategy, and make recommendations relating to fleet composition, procurement and replacement according to evolving customer requirements. Critical to the role is the importance placed on meeting vehicle and equipment safety and compliance standards, through methodical management of scheduled maintenance activity.
The Fleet & Equipment Manager will have broader commercial responsibilities encompassing financial reporting and cost control, and foster a team culture of high performance, respect, and a values-based approach to work.
The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be an individual with a demonstrated track record of success in managing a large pool of equipment or assets from a safety & compliance, technical and commercial perspective. Likely from the transport and logistics, industrial services or plant and equipment industry, you will demonstrate a sound understanding of HS&E practice and National Heavy Vehicle Law. You will bring an exceptional track record of people leadership to the role, along with first class interpersonal, influencing and negotiating ability.
