About:
Our client is a leading provider of innovative construction solutions, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Distribution Centre Manager to join their team in Queensland. The Distribution Centre Manager will be responsible for providing operational leadership in all logistical functions within the Queensland Distribution Centres, across 3 sites. 

Primary Purpose:
  • To be accountable for ensuring an efficient and effective operation with high levels of safety and quality compliance.
  • To maintain a competitive and cost-effective operation while striving to deliver the required service levels.
  • To establish a positive safety culture through committed and visible leadership to create an environment which engages the team to work safely with the right behavior.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Manages each site's operational budget through effective labor allocation, equipment utilization, and expense control. Demonstrates an ability to closely monitor and outlook costs accurately.
  • Provides the required level of leadership, coaching, and mentoring for all direct reports and the extended team to help foster continuous improvement and strive for best practice.
  • Ensures the agreed and understood service levels are achieved or bettered for all customers, including order turnaround, compliance to delivery schedules with integrity, and accuracy of products ordered.
  • Establishes effective relationships with all key internal and external parties, including sales team, transport providers, labor hire agency, landlord, and other relevant parties.
  • Ensures all property, assets, and amenities are managed accordingly to enable compliance for all legislative and government requirements.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to EEO, anti-discrimination, harassment and bullying, health, safety, and environment.
  • Performs any other duties or serve in such other capacity as may be determined by the Company management.
Qualifications:
  • The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution center management, with proven leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of logistics operations and inventory management systems.
  • Proven track record of delivering high levels of safety, quality, and service standards.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret financial and operational data to make informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations in relation to occupational health and safety, environment, and transport.
  • The Distribution Centre Manager will be a self-starter, results-oriented, and passionate about leading a high-performing team
  • Previous experience in DC greenfield site moves and implementing automation is desired
