With a shared passion for developing clean energy, the ACEN Australia team are making their mark in the renewable energy sector, contributing to Australia’s transition to a clean energy future.
 
ACEN Australia’s renewable energy assets include solar, wind, battery and pumped hydro and energy storage projects across Australia. Its first operational project is New England Solar which has been in construction since 2021 and is one of Australia’s largest solar projects to be participating in the National Electricity Market. Stubbo Solar in the NSW Central Orana Renewable Energy Zone is ACEN Australia's second project, which commenced construction in late 2022.
 
The company has a growing team of specialists, based in Hobart but with offices Melbourne and Sydney, along with regional project offices in Gulgong, Coolah and Smithton.
With 50+ employees, the team is set to grow to more than 100 by the end of the year.
 
The Role
 
In this newly created role, you will lead engagement and communications activities for ACEN Australia’s New England Solar project. You will:
 
  • Be the main point of contact for people in the community seeking information on the project
  • Lead community engagement and communications activities
  • Administer the project’s social investment program
  • Develop engaging digital and written content, keeping community and stakeholders up to date
  • Work with multiple internal teams to
  • Work with multiple teams, including contractors to understand community and stakeholder sentiment, and develop solutions to provide mutual benefit to communities, stakeholders and ACEN Australia
 
Skills and Experience
 
  • Experience in front line community relations, with a hands-on approach to engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and a track record in resolving issues
  • Experience in and a keen eye for creating engaging content for digital and traditional comms platforms. Includes videos, infographics, slide packs, fact sheets and posters. Experience in the Canva and Wordpress platforms would be advantageous.
  • Experience in administering community investment programs, including monitoring and reporting
  • Experience in arranging events
  • Well adept at using the Microsoft Office suite
  • Model a genuine commitment to the health, safety, and wellbeing
