About the Position

As a valued member of the Customer Service team you will be responsible for providing excellent support and technical advice on a range of electrical automation products and services to an existing customer base by fielding incoming telephone calls, responding to email requests, and providing service on the trade counter.  You will also service COD customers whom you will quantify as potential new account clients for the company.

About You
  • Receive and respond to customer requests by phone, email, and in-person at the trade counter;
  • Support the external sales teams;
  • Respond to staff internal requests in a timely and courteous manner;
  • Gather customer information and provide technical information when requested, assess and fulfil customer requirements;
  • Redirection or escalation of issues as required;
  • Evaluate and identify opportunities for the sales teams;
  • Create and deliver quotations;
  • Process customer orders and provide order acknowledgements;
  • Communicate to relevant staff required updates of customer data in our CRM;
  • Liaise and communicate with key suppliers, relevant account managers and internal stakeholders;
  • Undergo core brand product training as required by management;
  • Develop an understanding of basic warehouse operations;
  • Observe all Health & Safety regulations as set out by the company and in line with statutory requirements;
  • Bring a positive and enthusiastic attitude to the office; and
  • Promote the company in a positive light to customers, suppliers and staff as an integral team member.
Ideal experience & qualifications:
  • Relevant industry and/or customer service  experience in electrical product or manufacturing environment;
  • Qualifications in either electrical, electronics or customer service highly regarded;
  • Strong interpersonal skills;
  • Excellent organization and communication skills;
  • Drive and dedication to achieving goals;
  • Consistent focus on skill improvement & other learning;
  • Able to work independently and within a thriving team.
