Our client is a charitable trust with a purpose to build long term investment, capacity, wealth, and prosperity for communities it serves.  They are a high-profile social justice organisation, interfacing with a broad section of communities in Victoria as well as state and federal government.  They have a vision to impact their core communities in ways that have not been done previously.    
 
The board is seeking to create an Advisory and Investment Committee that will provide specialist advice to the Board.   They are seeking individuals who have come from a Trustee background, with an understanding of ethical investment.    This person will have a duty in providing advice regarding the organisation’s current and future investment management strategy.   The successful applicant’s expertise will be in the area of investment management (superannuation, philanthropic, charitable trust etc), with a passion for social justice, equity, human rights and impacting communities in need.  Advice that may be required to provide to the board includes:
 
  • strategic direction of the fund and its priorities
  • Funding Guidelines;
  • Investment Policy, Investment Strategy and opportunities for the Fund;
  • Distribution and investments;
  • reporting and budget processes of the Trustee; and
  • any other functions the Trustee may determine from time to time consistent with the Trust Deed.
This is a paid appointment with a commitment of 1 day per month
