The Opportunity
 
This in an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Commercial Analyst to join the finance team of one of Australia’s most recognised consumer goods businesses. Supporting a range of internal stakeholders, including Sales, Marketing & Finance, this role will partner with the business to enhance reporting capabilities, influence revenue management outcomes and facilitate informed decision making.
 
The role
 
As a true business partner, with a passion for financial reporting, data, analytics and insights, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
 
  • Deliver timely and accurate sales reports.
  • Interpret and prepare data required to deliver internal customers meaningful business reports that will drive strategy and pricing.
  • Provide sales with daily reports of trade spend balances.
  • Build business partnering relationships with various stakeholders.
  • Analyse data to identify sales, share and profit opportunities and initiatives to maximise return on trade spend investment.
  • Support the broader finance team on pricing related initiatives including tenders, price changes and NPD modelling.
 
You
 
The ideal candidate will already have some financial accounting experience and an understanding of pricing, with an interest in studying towards your CA/CPA qualification. With an inquisitive mind, you will possess strong modelling skills using Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools such as Power BI. While an understanding of the FMCG industry would be beneficial, candidates from other industries are encouraged to apply.
