My client is a leading large format retailer seeking a skilled and experienced Fit Out Project Manager to lead the delivery of their store fit out and refurbishment projects. As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality. They have ambitious growth targets for the national rollout of their stores giving a healthy project pipeline for the remainder of 2023 and well into 2024.

Your Position
  • End-to-end management and delivery of large format retail fit out projects ($500k - $3m)
  • Oversee project teams and subcontractors to ensure they adhere to the project plan and specifications
  • Monitor and maintain health and safety requirements on-site
  • Communicate regularly with stakeholders and provide progress updates, addressing any issues or risks that may arise
  • Working closely with management, architects, contractors, and in-house teams to achieve on target results adhering to program timelines
  • Ensure contract administration, invoicing and project variation management is documented appropriately
  • Problem solve and develop swift solutions for both manufacturing and on-site issues
  • Must be flexible and able to travel nationally to different sites. Expect to be away from home one week in every four.    
Your Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management on retail fit out projects of $500k - $3m in value
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, building regulations, and health and safety requirements
  • Ability to establish sound project management plans and programs using best practice project management methodologies
  • Extensive project management and delivery skills, including budgeting, coordinating work priorities, cost control, stakeholder management, subcontractor management, documentation, statutory approvals, and leading project teams.
  • Excellent communication and management skills.
  • Relevant professional qualifications; trade or tertiary
  • This person will have a customer first approach to their work and be a creative problem solver drawing on their prior experiences to achieve the best outcomes
