The Company
Our client is a large, global food company. Australian owned business with a strong brand and reputation. This role will be based at a 30 year old manufacturing site in the town of Gunnedah, NSW (Regional NSW). The site manufactures horse feed.

The Role
This is a newly created role.

As a Project Engineer, you will be leading a number of key projects for the manufacturing site. These projects will vary from capital expenditure (CapEx), process improvements, systems improvements, reliability and maintenance plans etc. The site has a number of very experienced leaders who will support you from a technical standpoint as required.

This is a rare opportunity to step up and lead projects from the front, demonstrating your people leadership and stakeholder management early on in your career.
  • Preparing documentation for submission of Capital Expenditure Requests.
  • Developing a project schedule and manage timelines to get the project delivered on time.
  • Ensuring all stages of the project is structure, negotiated and procured to achieve optimal financial and quality outcomes.
  • Develop engineering solutions in collaborations with other engineering team members, the manufacturing team and any suppliers/vendors/contractors required.
  • Making sure all projects are designed with safety in mind and delivered safely.
  • Preparing of monthly reports for project works.
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or other relevant engineering discipline.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to talk to lots of different people and varying levels.
  • Ability to break down highly technical concepts to be understood by anyone.
