About the role:
 
As the Backend Developer (WCS) you will play a critical role within a high performing team.  Reporting into the Technical Lead, you will utilise your WebSphere Commerce developer experience to improve the functionality and features of the new and existing platform to enhance the customer experience. You will be working within an agile team environment and will be required to co-ordinate with business stakeholders.
This is an initial 6 month contract role with potential to extend.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Write and maintain unit and automation tests at relevant application tiers ensuring that delivered change adheres to acceptance criteria.
  • Translate designs into reliable, maintainable and high quality code.
  • Produce documentation for the delivered changes/features.
  • Participate in regular design meetings and code reviews.
 
About you:
  • 6+ years developer experience using WebSphere Commerce/HCL Commerce Suite
  • Experience with cloud technology (AWS preferred)
  • Good understanding of Commerce framework and subsystem
  • Experience in developing and customizing Rest APIs
  • Experience with Jenkins or other CI servers (CI/CD pipeline).
  • Experience with test driven development and testing frameworks/libraries.
  • Worked in agile teams with focus on quality and continued improvement
