This is a rare opportunity to redefine the customer strategy and guide relevance and growth for well-known and much-loved brands, while also applying innovative and strategic tactics to ensure a steadfast brand footprint within the local and international consumer brands industry.
 
The Chief Marketing Officer will join an already established but evolving marketing function, with the initial mandate of defining the customer agenda, and offering clarity to internal roles and functions as to how they can best support this. Through embedding this evolved structure and enhanced capability, the CMO will ensure brand awareness and growth optimisation through purposeful, sophisticated, and consistent digital and traditional marketing initiatives.
 
The CMO can expect to focus on brand and product reinvigoration, through the design and implementation of new initiatives for legacy brands, that cater to the changing appetite of the consumer, while also delivering growth and favourable commercial results to the business. While still championing brand growth locally, the CMO will also assess the opportunity for international development, which could mean the launch of existing brands in new markets, or the acquisition and management of new brands here or internationally. With an understanding of the consumer goods landscape, teamed with a keen eye for trends and relevant growth categories, the CMO will apply a strategic and innovative eye to the long-term brand agenda, and find new initiatives that keep the business evolving and modern. The CMO will then possess the industry insight and commercial acumen to successfully manage and deliver such projects, while ensuring continued engagement and commitment from stakeholder groups, and effective ROI from these marketing programs.
 
As a senior figurehead within a business that is embarking on a time of change, it is vital that the CMO possesses demonstrable team and personnel management ability, particularly so through times of growth. Also, as a member of the Executive Team, and with the responsibility of leading a high performing and structurally diverse team, it is imperative that the CMO lead and communicate with confidence and clearly articulate and illustrate the rationale for decisions and objectives. In addition to this, the CMO will be a part of, and work alongside, a complex stakeholder group that requires consistent communication and transparency of operations.
