My client is a leading large format retailer with a growing network of stores across the country. They are currently seeking a skilled and experienced In House Property Lawyer to lead in the delivery of their expansion of new properties to its growing national and international portfolio.
You will be responsible for reviewing, drafting, and negotiating leases, managing lease negotiations, and overseeing lease renewals and terminations. Additionally, you will be responsible for advising the business on real estate and property law issues and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Your Position
  • Provide advice and guidance on legal matters relating to property related business actions.
  • Manage the growing property portfolio with regards to annual rent reviews, terminations, make goods and dispute resolution.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate leases for large format retail properties.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and provide effective solutions.
Your Experience
  • Law degree with a minimum 4+ Years PAE working in property law.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of legal processes / requirements and understanding of leases & legislation.
  • Strong negotiating and problem solving skills.
  • The ability to work as part of a growing team and be willing to collaborate across all functions of the business.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role on a national scale.
  • Strong experience with large format retail leasing transactions.
  • Strong commercial acumen and business sense.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
