About the role:
 
As the Senior Data Engineer, you are responsible for designing, building, and maintaining the data infrastructure and ensuring that the data pipelines are scalable, reliable, and efficient. You will be joining a growing team that is both supportive, innovative and passionate about what they do!
 
We have both contract and permanent options available for this role.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Install and maintain the performance of database servers, reporting and monitoring instances and vendor SLA’s to ensure replication, performance and availability of internal, external and vendor managed data instance
  • Data security, manage database access and auditing including any compliance activities that may be associated with data and its management
  • Work with ‘Big Data’, to create Analytics, Reporting and Dashboards to guide the business in its growth and oversight
  • Provide leadership for the architectural direction and provide consultation to project teams
About you:
  • Degree or Diploma qualified in Mathematics/Statistics, Computer Science or IT
  • 6+ years’ experience in Data Analytics and Modelling, customer profiling analytics, data modelling and engineering.
  • Technical experience in a mix of the following: SQL, SSIS, Visual Basics, Pronto and Azure.
  • Experience with Cognos Analytics and/or TM1 is desirable but not essential
  • Strong knowledge on Microsoft, its security model and auditing and compliance.
  • Proven record of data mapping, dictionaries, and architecting data stores for optimisation.
