About the role:

With next-generation products on the near horizon, and with excellent strategic relationships and reputation, you have the opportunity to support our client to build a dominant market position.  They require a skilful and experienced BDM to join their focused team in a pivotal role. The focus will be on re-invigorating their sales channels and developing new opportunities. The position will be supported by a small local team with further support from their overseas HQ team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage key aspects of the business for their battery portfolio to strengthen strategic opportunities (providing sales, marketing, training, project support)
  • Refine sales channel strategy and develop a Preferred Partner Program with internal systems for monitoring sales lead distribution and conversion
  • Drive integration of CRM platform within the business and manage contact database.
  • Maintain a key account plan detailing customer’s organisation, key contacts, business model, channel strategy, pricing conventions, competitive environment & meeting history
  • Meet regularly with key customer contacts & communicate product roadmap, presentations
  • Support on-boarding of new partners with product information, training, and co-operative marketing initiatives to maximize sell-in, sell-out & repeat business
  • Develop, maintain and update a strategy within the channel/account plan to maximize the sales of the residential battery range within the assigned customers & channels.
  • Manage marketing initiatives in co-ordination with external marketing consultants and social media channel manager.
  • Proactively seek out opportunities and conduct new acquisition initiatives.
  • Attend all necessary internal & external meetings, conferences and functions as required
  • Process and manage marketing initiatives/budgets for key customers
  • Adhere to critical processes including budget reporting, sales register, & cooperative advertising guideline conformance
About You:

You will be a true all-rounder, capable of planning and implementing initiatives with a high degree of self-reliance.  You will demonstrate a successful sales process and a track record of sales and marketing success.  Experience in the renewable industry, with understanding of residential ESS market and VPP opportunities, is preferred though not essential. Importantly, you will have experience in developing & maintaining strong product knowledge in a current or previous role.  You have excellent verbal and written communication, strong presentation skills, and the capacity to translate technical concepts into clear sales messaging.  You know how to connect and influence across all levels with key stakeholders, ie. from solar installers to government contacts.  You have excellent time management and business planning skills, and can handle parallel work streams.  Intermediate to advanced level computer skills in PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, Word and CRM database will support you in this role.  You must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident and hold a current driver’s licence, with a preparedness to travel remotely and overseas if required.
