Our client, a global FMCG business based in Melbourne, is seeking a talented Raw Materials Project Manager to join the team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing supplier relationships, optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs), and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities:
  • Strengthen supplier relationships through effective communication and collaboration.
  • Identify and evaluate existing KPIs to ensure they are relevant, accurate, and aligned with business objectives.
  • Lead projects aimed at improving supplier performance and overall raw materials management.
  • Work closely with the procurement and raw materials teams to drive process efficiency and supply optimization.
  • Actively seek out opportunities for improvement within the raw materials supply chain and develop action plans to address them.
  • Project manage improvement initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring timely execution and successful implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify risks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and monitor progress.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on project status, KPI performance, and supplier relationships to the supply chain management team.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of raw materials sourcing, procurement, and supply chain management.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify improvement opportunities and implement effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities to drive positive outcomes with suppliers.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • SAP experience would be advantageous.
Note: This is a 12-month fixed-term contract with a high likelihood of conversion to a permanent position based on performance and business needs.
