Our Client
Our client are a leading supplier of personal and beauty care products across Australasia, are looking for a Procurement Manager to join their team.
 
The role
As the Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing mainly direct spend with some indirect spend. This is a strategy focused procurement role as opposed to more transactional.
Main responsibilities for the role:
  • Lead and develop a team of 2 within the procurement function
  • Manage direct spend with some indirect spend
  • Build supplier strategies and negotiate pricing
  • Review and renegotiate contracts to mitigate any risks
  • Create a supplier relationship program
  • Work closely with NPD team to ensure new products are launched on time
  • Negotiate and put in place Service level agreements
  • Supply chain mapping, utilising supplier’s global capability to support global manufacturing strategy
 
This role is based in Kingsgrove. They also operate a hybrid model of working with flexibility to work from home and in the office.
 
About you
To be successful for this role, you will be an experienced Procurement Manager who’s worked in an FMCG environment managing direct spend. You’ll also be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Lead a team of procurement professionals
  • Be strategy focused and with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong negotiation and communication abilities
