Brand Manager (12- Month Maternity Cover)

Location: brisbane
Salary: $90000 - $95000 per annum
Job Type: permanent
Contact: Georgie Keating
Six Degrees Executive are thrilled to be partnering with this global food manufacturer, as they seek a Brand Manager to join their Brisbane team, in a 12-month maternity cover role.

While this business is home to several household names, and produces a variety of product across multiple categories, the Brand Manager will exclusively focus on their strong and growing ‘sweet’ portfolio across Australia and New Zealand.

Reporting into the Senior Brand Manager, the Brand Manager will be tasked with the build, protection, and performance of this brand across these two regions. As the incumbent leaves during a period of extensive NPD activity, the Brand Manager can expect their role to be project management heavy, with an additional requirement of strong commercial acumen, given the role will work so closely with category and sales teams.

Further responsibilities of this role will cover:

Traditional Brand Management – brand positioning and the development of brand assets and style guides
Strategic Planning – Applying predetermined and successful commercial strategies from the Australian, to their on-going focus on New Zealand development
Portfolio Management – translating trends and insights, into building capability across the full portfolio, and presenting new projects and initiatives to key retail partners
Budget Management – monthly budget management, including raising quotes
Internal Stakeholder Management – routinely liaising with Australian and NZ brand teams, as well as sales & NPD personnel, in order to push a “divide and conquer” approach to brand development

While the portfolio is available across a number of channels, this particular role will liaise extensively with independents across Australia and NZ. To that end, a background in FMCG is highly advantageous, as a strong background in customer engagement will support the business’s existing operations, and ensure the candidate hits the ground running.

The business is currently in a time of considerable growth, as they look to expand into categories that they already play in, as well as expand into new ones. To that end, candidates must possess an ability to work in a fast-past environment, where managing multiple projects at anyone time is the norm. The business is lean and high performing, the culture is one of collaboration and warmth, and your team is home to some of the best FMCG players in Queensland and greater Australia.
