Six Degrees Executive has partnered with a leading national retailer to engage a driven and resourceful Senior System Administrator to uplift and enhance the utilisation of current infrastructure solutions. This exciting opportunity will allow you to really take ownership of the current Technology landscape and ensure Best Practice organisation wide.

This permanent opportunity is located in Sydney, NSW and offers a hybrid Ways of Working.
 
The Opportunity:
 
As the Senior System Administrator, you will not only be both hands on but also responsible for analysing and evaluating the current (hardware and software) landscape and exploring what efficiencies/improvements can be made.
 
You will be responsible for the successful deployment across various environments within the business, ranging from stores, warehouses, offices and Cloud environment (specifically AWS and Google Cloud). This role is ideally suited for a passionate technology afficionado who thrives in investigating and optimising the benefits of  technology. You will also manage the adoption of these solutions company-wide inclusive of training and participate in policy creation.
 
You will be responsible for (but not limited to): 
  • Implementing software and hardware solutions across AWS & Google cloud environments, stores, warehouses and offices nationwide.
  • Contributing to the development of industry Best Practise through developing policies and procedures and training.
  • Managing and obtaining certifications of software and hardware solutions if lacking.
  • Ensuring Change Management and adoption of solutions within the organisation effectively
  • Project delivery inclusive of planning, monitoring and reporting on progress
  • Developing your knowledge continuously across the entire IT infrastructure and truly becoming a domain expert
  • Delivering training sessions where necessary to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies.
To be considered for this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Experience with AWS, VMware, Google Cloud Platform, Google Workspace, Workspace One and Velocloud 
  • Demonstrated experience in managing change and delivering projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage internal stakeholders
  • Ability to travel to various locations nationally as required
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment.
  • A strong sense of initiative
  • Experience within the retail or warehousing environment (ideally)
  • Salesforce and SAP (ideally)
