The Finance team is an integral part of the Group – we’re currently 1000+ staff and looking to grow further. The position will primarily support one of the business units which design, engineer and remanufacture more than 12,000 large units each year and distribute parts and accessories in domestic and export markets. The Group has a long history and over the past three years it has undergone a period of significant change and is looking for an enthusiastic candidate willing to learn about the automotive manufacturing business in a broad-based financial role.

As the Financial Accountant, you will run the day-to-day accounting and finance operations whilst driving accuracy and ensuring integrity in the financial data. You will also play an active role in continuous improvement for accounting or by involvement in various projects. By collaborating with the various stakeholders, you will have true insight across the business and collaborate with the Financial Controller to provide these insights to the Leadership team. Reporting directly to the Financial Controller of the business, you will be responsible for running the day-to-day accounting and finance tasks, including month end processes. The role will be ‘hands on’ and form an integral part of driving accuracy and integrity with the financial data.


With a unique opportunity to work in this function, the main objectives of this role include the following:
  • Work with the broader finance function and stakeholders of the finance function to assist with the monthly financial close in a timely and accurate manner from end to end.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Controller in providing timely and accurate financial information to the Leadership Team.
  • Assisting with monthly pack preparation along with any other month end flash reporting deadlines with value addition, accuracy and attention to detail being key in these processes.
  • Ensuring and maintaining GL integrity of entities within the Group.
  • Perform sales, gross margin, cost and production analysis as well as linking analysis to underlying operational business drivers for any relevant changes
  • Ensure timely completion of the Group’s statutory reporting requirements.
  • Ownership of maintaining monthly journals for 2 smaller entities within the Group.
  • Adding value by supporting with continuous improvement projects, such as creating templates and automating processes.
  • Controlling income, cash flow and expenditure.
  • Ensuring Inventory and cost accounting are accurate.
