Six Degrees Executive have partnered with a well-known retail business as they are looking to build their engineering team.
 
The company is looking for a Salesforce Service Cloud Backend Engineer who will play a crucial role in continually improving and enhancing the Salesforce platform.
 
The opportunity
 
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
  • Translating business requirements into functional solutions using Salesforce.com
  • Designing and implementing robust integrations utilising REST and SOAP-based Web service
  • Building sophisticated and custom user interfaces and applications using Visualforce, Apex and Lightning Components to enhance the functionality of Salesforce applications
  • Utilising Service Consoles and Live Agent Knowledge to improve customer service and support capabilities
  • Leveraging experience and expertise with Data & Security Model to ensure the integrity, confidentiality and accessibility of data
About you:

To be considered for this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • 5+ years of Salesforce development experience, including Service Cloud
  • Experience with Integration, Apex programming, Visualforce, Lightning, Component Framework, Apex controllers, Triggers, Apex Customisation, Batch jobs, Test Classes, REST and SOAP based Web services
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with Data & Security Model
  • Demonstrated implementation knowledge of Service Consoles, Live Agent Knowledge, workflows rules, validation rule, approval process, reports and dashboards
  • Jira and Confluence experience
  • At least two (2) Salesforce certifications
  • Expertise in backend and frontend technologies including APIs (REST/GraphQL), event and messaging (PubSub/Streaming) and web (Javascript/Typescript/React) technologies
In addition, the following would be highly desirable:
  • Familiarity with Salesforce Communities, Digital Engagement and Marketing Modules
  • Previous experience in a Retail and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment
