Six Degrees Executive have partnered with a well-known retail business as they are looking to build their engineering team.
 
The company is looking for a Backend Engineer with extensive NetSuite experience who will play an important role in the development, configuration and deployment of the overall solution.
 
The opportunity
 
Reporting to the Engineering Lead, you will be responsible for (but not limited to):
  • Participating in various aspects of solution design and build including
    • NetSuite Order Fulfillment Solution
    • NetSuite Warehouse Management Solution
    • NetSuite Inventory Management Solution
    • NetSuite Integration (including EDI)  
  • Developing high quality software with a high degree of testability
  • Engineering and maintaining operational efficiencies – managing patches/upgrades
  • Creating documentation to support the ongoing operational maintenance of implemented solutions, including runbooks for L1 and L2 support teams
  • Providing L3 & L4 support, diagnosing and resolving issues affecting production environment
  • Providing guidance on the use of NetSuite as well as assistance to users when they encounter any issues with NetSuite solutions
About you:

To be considered for this position, you will have the following skills and experience:
  • 5+ years of extensive experience in NetSuite and backend development
  • Expertise in using IDEs and developer experience tools
  • Proficiency in backend and frontend technologies including APIs (REST/GraphQL), event and messaging (PubSub/Streaming) and web (Javascript/Typescript/React) technologies
  • Jira and Confluence experience
  • Understanding of full SDLC including troubleshooting and providing 3rd level support
In addition, the following would be highly desirable:
  • Previous experience in a Retail and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment
  • Knowledge of NetSuite Procurement, Financial Management and Sales & CRM Solutions
  • Experience in building integration with e-commerce solutions
