About the role

We have partnered with an organisation who is seeking a highly skilled and experienced UX & Content Manager to join their Digital & User Experience (UX) team. As a UX & Content Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the organisation delivers an exceptional user experience across all their customer-facing digital channels. You will provide leadership and strategic direction in user interface design, user experience design, user research and testing, as well as the development, optimization, and maintenance of digital content.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a dedicated team of digital design and content specialists, fostering a high-performing culture of innovation and best practices.
  • Upskill capability across the Digital & User Experience team and broader Marketing team to drive optimal outcomes for the organisation
  • Collaborate closely with the Director of Digital & User Experience, heads of units, project managers, web developers, and other senior stakeholders.
  • Supervise the User Experience & Design team, providing expert guidance on best practices.
  • Work within a multi-disciplinary environment, demonstrating advanced negotiation skills and practice leadership to liaise with various organizational units across the organisation
  • Liaise with suppliers under the direction of the Director of Digital & User Experience.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to provide leadership and strategic direction on web content and user experience across digital channels.
  • Proven experience in designing interfaces and Information Architectures for web, tablet, and mobile channels, including the use of prototyping tools.
  • Ability to lead and prioritize appropriate design solutions for major projects/initiatives, balancing business and user needs.
  • Strong understanding of usability and web content best practices, heuristics, and user-centered research methods.
  • Experience with user-centered design techniques and mentoring/training others in running these techniques.
  • Proficiency in Content Management Systems (e.g., Drupal) and publishing workflows.
  • Extensive experience in coaching and upskilling teams, with a focus on digital user experience, design, and content.
