The Role
As a Chief Executive Officer, you will report directly to the Board of Directors and play a pivotal leadership role at the Club. With ultimate accountability, you will establish the strategic vision necessary for the Club to achieve outcomes, both on and off the field, that align with the overarching strategy, mission, and values.
The role will lead all aspects of the club including:
  • Football
  • Finance
  • Commercial Operations
  • Legal, Risk & Integrity
  • Infrastructure
  • Government Relations
  • Media & Corporate Affairs
  • Major Projects
 
About You
 
The ideal candidate will be an experienced leader within an elite sporting environment, capable of influencing and motivating at the executive level. Your expertise as a CEO allows for disciplined strategy execution and timely decision-making. Building and maintaining relationships with senior stakeholders in complex settings comes naturally to you, supported by exceptional communication skills.
You will have a strong business acumen, a track record of developing and implementing successful corporate strategies. Experience in managing major infrastructure projects will be highly regarded.  Your commitment to governance, compliance, and issues management skills will be well-established.
 
Skills & Experience
  • An experienced CEO or Executive role within the sporting industry.
  • Have delivered intricate projects within prescribed timelines and budgets, consistently meeting crucial milestones.
  • Display a profound comprehension of football and the dynamic landscape of the AFL competition, staying abreast of emerging trends within the sporting industry.
  • Exhibit a deep knowledge and hands-on experience in managing all commercial aspects of the business.
