About the role
In this role, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating a dedicated shift maintenance team (1/2 technicians), ensuring the safe and uninterrupted operation of all production, operations, and equipment across multiple sites. Your main duties will involve supervising and directing resources assigned to the night shift, ensuring compliance with maintenance standards, and optimizing equipment performance. The shift operates on a two-week 12-hour shift rotation: W1: Tues, Wed, Sat, Sun & W2: Mon, Thurs, Fri.

Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate a team of maintenance professionals during the night shift, overseeing essential repairs and servicing across all sites.
- Direct the activities of the assigned resources, ensuring smooth and efficient operations throughout the night.
- Uphold maintenance practice standards that align with the business requirements and deliver on operational plans.
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment to identify any operational inefficiencies and facilitate optimization measures.
- Execute periodic maintenance tasks and routine calibration of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
- Manage the disposal of worn-out or damaged machinery as part of the Maintenance Plan, while also overseeing the installation of new equipment.
- Perform risk assessments to identify potential hazards in building facilities or premises.
- Take an active role in preparing and managing maintenance budgets to achieve set objectives.
- Generate detailed reports on night shift maintenance operations, providing valuable insights to the Maintenance Manager and Day Shift.
- Foster strong collaboration and effective communication with the Senior Maintenance Team and other departments within the operation.
- Assist in the implementation of Lean methodologies, as directed by the Factory Manager or Operations Function.
- Lead the team and colleagues to fulfill important responsibilities related to health and safety, including leaving all plant and machinery safe and hazard-free, reporting workplace hazards, maintaining health and safety records, and actively participating in health and safety consultations.
- Minimum 4 years of supervisory experience.
- Possess a trades maintenance qualification.
- Demonstrated experience in team leadership, specifically in effectively managing night shift maintenance operations.
- Valid driver's license.
- Strong sense of pride in workmanship and a meticulous approach to tasks.
- Preference for candidates with Mechanical background but open to electrical.
- Familiarity with Bakery equipment, such as mixers and ovens, is highly desired.
- Safety Appliance Testing Cert. (Testing & Tagging) preferred.
