The business has a factory in Tasmania, where they are seeking an inspiring leader in food production/food processing to join our dedicated team as the Production Manager.

About the Role

As the Production Manager, you will report to the GM and assume the vital responsibility of leading their production team in Devonport. We are looking for a highly accomplished people leader with extensive experience who thrives on delivering exceptional performance. This role is situated in stunning northwest Tasmania.
  • Develop a highly effective and engaged team by coaching, mentoring, and developing line supervisors, team leaders, and team members.
  • Communicate KPI targets and performance regularly to your team, focusing on safety, quality, service, efficiency, and other key areas.
  • Lead and involve your team in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Organize and roster skilled staff optimally to meet production requirements.
Skills Required
  • You possess excellent communication and influencing skills, enabling you to build effective working relationships at all levels of the business.
  • You may be an experienced supervisor seeking the next challenge in your career, or a seasoned operations professional desiring a more hands-on role that ignites your passion.

  • You bring a strong focus on safety leadership and a passion for developing people and fostering a highly engaged, safety-first workplace.
  • Previous experience in the food/seafood/meat industry or a related field is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HACCP, Food Safety, and GMP is essential.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, including proficiency in factory planning and IT systems, are desirable.
  • Tertiary qualifications in an appropriate or related field are advantageous.
  • Proven experience in implementing continuous improvement initiatives and a track record of delivering results.
