Our Client is one of Australia's leading third-party logistics service providers and a trusted partner to some of our largest and most successful FMCG and retail organisations. They currently have a fantastic opportunity available for an experienced, senior transport professional to lead their national linehaul function in this high-profile position.


About the Opportunity
The National Linehaul Manager is a key senior leadership position wholly responsible for driving interstate transport strategy development and execution alongside day-to-day operational efficiency, safety performance and customer service levels, while also structuring the national distribution network to support future growth plans. Reporting to the General Manager of Transport and leading a large team, your key accountability includes:
  • The creation and continued development of a best-in-class interstate transport vision and function, including all policies, processes, and operating procedures.
  • Full budgetary accountability for a large freight spend, managed within linehaul supplier management policy framework.
  • Building and fostering a team culture of ‘safety first’ and ensuring that CoR responsibilities are met as set out in broader organisational framework.
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and ensuring that the national linehaul function remains a leader in the adoption of new processes and technology to further its competitive advantage.
  • The continued development of a large team to meet both individual career development goals and broader organisational strategy.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced logistics professional with a demonstrated track record of success in transport management across a regional or national network, ideally in the 3PL, retail or FMCG industries. Ideally tertiary qualified in a relevant field, you will not only be strategically and operationally strong, but commercially astute. Your outstanding people focus and leadership qualities, in addition to first class communication, influencing and stakeholder management skills, will be key to your success in this role.
