Our client is a highly established and successful retail organisation with combined turnovers in excess of $500m. They provide centralised support to many independent and family owned retail businesses across Tasmania. Their service offering includes providing merchandising, operational and marketing support.
 
The Board are now looking to appoint a CEO who can take the business through a range of key transformation initiatives that will help deliver on their long-term strategic plan. Providing leadership and direction, the CEO will work closely with internal and external stakeholders in continuing to foster relationships and partnerships to achieve strong commercial outcomes. A key mandate for the CEO, is to work collaboratively with all members across the State, representing their needs with suppliers, whilst focusing on their operational priorities.
 
This person will have responsibility for multiple functions including finance, IT, HR, Marketing and Promotions, Merchandise and Special Projects and Insights therefore providing strong leadership to a diverse team is critical to their success in the role.
 
Tertiary qualified, you will be an experienced General Manager / CEO from a retail business having led multiple functions with full P&L responsibility.  An in depth understanding and exposure to all facets of a business, particularly operations, supply chain and logistics is important and likely to have been gained in a medium to large sized company . It is also highly preferable this person has experience of working in a member based/ and or independently owned retail environment.
 
The position is based in Launceston, and will require relocation if applying from interstate.
