The company: I’m currently working exclusively with the charity Foodbank who are Australia’s largest food relief organisation. They provide more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide. Last year, they sourced the equivalent of 82 million meals for their 2,950 charity partners, providing food relief to more than a million people each month.

The role:
Working as the National Partnerships Manager, you will be responsible for the management, engagement and support of Foodbank Australia’s National/Supporters Donors across our partners within ambient foods, frozen food, personal and household care and the major grocery retailers. You will work closely with current and existing accounts, which could be with CSR, Sustainability, a Supply Chain Director and a Commercial Director level. In addition to the existing clients, you will also be responsible for sourcing new National Donors/partners, with a key part being able to engage them as to the benefits and opportunities of partnering with Foodbank. You will be responsible for working in partnership with State Member Foodbank teams to better understand their supply chain needs, where Foodbank Australia can assist and pursuing and implementing new programs and or sources of products to continue to meet their needs and increased demand from the agencies/charities they service. An opportunity not only to continue to build Foodbanks profile/network, but to also build your own. 

The person:
We are looking for an experienced candidate with a background in buying or sales, who is familiar with Supply Chain/Logistics. Ideally you will have worked within the food/retail industry previously and have a track record of building and maintaining strong relationships with Key Stakeholders. You will also be required to have moderate experience in Microsoft Excel and you must also have a driver’s license. The right candidate must have the right attitude and the want to do the right thing.
