Senior Manager Advocacy and Campaigns

We are seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Advocacy and Campaigns to join one of our clients based in Sydney. As the Senior Manager, you will play a vital role in driving strategic engagement with governments and stakeholders to support their Vision 2030 goals.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement advocacy and engagement strategies to achieve Vision 2030 outcomes.
  • Facilitate access to policy leads and decision makers, initiating impactful advocacy campaigns.
  • Build and sustain partnerships for collaborative and effective advocacy efforts.
  • Coordinate stakeholders’ engagement activities, including meetings, briefings, and consultations.
  • Stay informed about policy developments and identify advocacy opportunities.
  • Represent the organisation on external forums and maintain strong networks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling advocacy materials.
  • Navigate tight time frames and handle complex and culturally sensitive issues with proficiency.

Requirements:
  • Min 9 years of experience in advocacy campaigns and stakeholder engagement in the health-related sector in Australia/ New Zealand
  • Proven track of record in working with government departments and engaging stakeholders across sectors
  • Strong understanding of the Australian and/ or New Zealand health system
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Deep understanding of the socio-economic and health-related challenges facing indigenous populations in Australia and / or New Zealand is an advantage.
  • A solid experience in media liaison or public relations.
  • Experienced in managing high level dynamic advisory committees.
  • Master’s degree or higher in a relevant field (e.g., policy, public health, communications).
