Our Client
World leader in their field and a packaging manufacturer seek a Procurement Officer to join their team.
You will join a family feel organisation that has global reach and opportunities. This role is based in Condell Park with free parking on site. They offer flexibility and hybrid working.
 
Responsibilities for the role:
  • Liaise, negotiate and purchase from mainly domestic suppliers of raw materials
  • Consolidate and source alternative suppliers
  • Manage the purchasing cycle, including generating requisitions and PO creation
  • Purchase products competitively
  • Establish optimal quantity to purchase, quality required and cost impact
  • Provide uninterrupted flow of materials to the production team
  • Continue to build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers
 
About you
You will be an experienced Procurement or Purchasing Officer who will be able to demonstrate the following:
  • Strong analytical capabilities and proficient user in excel
  • Excellent stakeholder management and relationship building skills
  • Understanding of the supply chain cycle
