About the role
The Senior Packaging Technologist is a 6-month contract opportunity to join the high performing packaging team where you will work closely with the sustainability, R&D, procurement and supply chain teams to help deliver sustainable, cost effective, fit for purpose packaging.
 
Responsibilities include
  • Lead the Sustainable Packaging related projects for the business.
  • Deliver consumer winning propositions in packaging.
  • Build strategic relationships with packaging suppliers and industry bodies to deliver the business agenda.
  • Enable market competitiveness of new and existing product portfolio by addressing changing consumer needs in terms of packaging formats, quality, performance and cost.
  • Drive the delivery of consistent packaging quality, working closely with the Supply Chain, Quality and Engineering functions.
  • Support the packaging specification process to meet legal and regulatory requirements.

About you
  • 6+ years’ experience in FMCG Food industry
  • Worked extensively with packaging equipment and associated suppliers, with a thorough understanding of commissioning and optimisation of performance.

  • Advanced technical skills, experience and knowledge of packaging development in the FMCG food industry.
  • Understanding of APCO and CEFLEX legal and regulatory requirements and demonstrated ability to put into practice.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in food sciences, material sciences or related field.
