About the Role: 
Position Overview The Procurement Officer works closely and under the guidance of the Procurement Lead to support procurement initiatives, liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve identified issues, and provide administrative and coordination support for procurement processes and systems.

Role & Responsibilities: 
  • Creating and maintaining procurement/supplier master data and pricing in D365
  • Working through invoice pricing queries.
  • Be procurement rep in NPD meetings (as required)
  • Support finding alternative suppliers for ingredient/packaging shortages by sending volumes, spec, samples to suppliers for matching as directed.
  • Work on minor savings projects – freight, stationery, QA lab supplies, etc..
  • Obtaining quotes and samples for departments as required.
  • Managing small changes through the business - eg. change of pack size or change of material codes – via the internal change notice process and Procurement Lead guidance
  • Assist in the Slow-Moving Stock meeting
  • Assist with reviewing minimum order quantities forecast and reviewing lead times with suppliers to help ensure we are buying at the correct price & quality.

Skills and Experience: 
  • Experience in a food manufacturing business or similar role in a related industry
  • Experience in dealing with vendors, suppliers and customers (internal and external)
  • Minimum using ERP such as Dynamics 365, SAP, etc
  • Strong Microsoft skills, particularly advanced Excel
  • Advanced planning and organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong team player capable of working independently
