Six Degrees Executive has partnered with Australia’s leading non-profit sports fundraising organisation as they commence an ambitious plan to grow philanthropic sports funding to $300m.

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will be a key member of the Transformation team ensuring successful delivery of both business and technological Transformation offering a suite of innovative digital fundraising products.

Ideally you will have a fundraising/ For Purpose background and/or a passion for sport however this role is very much personality focussed and requires someone with vision, adaptability and who is capable of working in an ambiguous environment.

This is a permanent opportunity open to those in either Melbourne or the east coast and offers flexible Ways of Working.

The Opportunity:
 
The Senior Business Analyst will play a vital role in delivering this once in a lifetime Transformation. You will work with cross-functional teams, Third-party vendors and clients and really become a Champion for Change. You will be expected to lead conversations, influence outcomes and think outside of the box, as compared to simply ticking boxes.

Ideally, you will not only be motivated by Technology, people and processes but also by seeing the positive impact sport has on society, culture and individually.

About the role:

You will be responsible for (but not limited to) the following:
  • Contribute to the business and technology transformation working across both digital channels, business as well as CRM / back-office activities.
  • Interchange between digital product development, complex business workflows, solution payment build and to guide future business thinking.
  • Dive into the future state domain model and work closely with Data and Insights teams
  • Work with the Product Manager, adopt a commercial mindset to envisage how a series of innovative digital fundraising products will meet the needs of a growing sports fundraising community.
  • Assist with the ‘Go to Market’, work closely with the marketing team and bring the fundraising success team into the process.
  • Use Jira & Confluence to document activities such as User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, product features, Retrospectives. You will own these tools internally so experience with the Atlassian Cloud is important.
  • Bring your Product Development expertise to the Delivery Team to ensure success in building solutions/outcomes that drive the community and assist with future fundraising.
  • Assist with the coordination of project activities, such as UAT, project discovery & inception.
  • Communicate and become an advocate for cultural change. This Transformation is not purely technology change, this will showcase what the future for the organisation can be.
  • Guide and support other Business Analysts as they are recruited.
  • Contribute to the culture, bring new ideas, help coach others who may be new to this way of thinking, and have a passion for positive impact.
About you:

To be considered for this role, you will need (but not limited to) the following:
  • Strong all-round BA skills with a fundamental ability to build digital products and work with teams who drive widespread change.
  • Payments or B2B experience would be ideal as this client is a B2B payments business at its core. We are however not looking for a digital payment’s specialist.
  • Strong Agile delivery experience although you are highly adaptable. Delivery and getting product to market is how you measure success.
  • Experience with SaaS platforms/ecommerce (ideally Salesforce, Stripe, Xero or Atlassian Cloud). You don’t have to be a CRM guru although you are able to learn quickly.
  • This position may require weekend/outside ordinary work hours
  • This position may involve interstate travel.
