About the Role
With an emphasis on packaging technology and innovation, the successful candidate will be part of a well-established R&D team, reporting through to the R&D Lead Manager who is an excellent coach and mentor. As the packaging and R&D food technologist, you will run projects from concept through to commercialisation, with a strong emphasis on developing sustainable packaging solutions and process development assisting with trials for new production and existing products.

Skills and Experience
Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in packaging and food technology, within food manufacturing ideally dairy or baked goods. You will be a strong project manager, with the ability to take projects through a stage gate process to achieve commercialisation. You will have knowledge of packaging solutions and be confident with liaising with packaging suppliers. Determination and drive are key attributes, with the ability to be a proactive team player. Clear communication skills are important with the ability to work cross functionally, and engage with a broad range of internal stakeholders. A tertiary qualification in food technology and/or packaging would be highly regarded.
