About the company 

Our client is a leading food manufacturing organisation with regional headquarters based in rural Victoria. Due to continued growth in the area, an opportunity for a supply chain planning professional to lead their forecasting and supply/demand planning function has arisen.

About the role 

Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager and leading a team of planners, the senior demand and supply planner is responsible for ensuring that inventory availability meets future customer demand. Whilst also participating and employing S&OP and liaise with key stakeholders internally and externally.

Duties
  • The generation of a rolling demand plan over a short-term horizon in a seasonal, highly promotional environment. 
  • Ensuring inventory availability for a large and diverse customer base while keeping inventory holdings in line with broader company policy.
  • Ensuring that your demand and supply planners have the technical and practical skills to effectively manage their portfolio of products.
  • Maintaining inventory integrity across the network through cross functional communication and thorough analysis.
  • Optimising stock turns while minimising existing slow moving and obsolete lines.
  • Manage S&OP processes 
Skills & Experience
  • Demonstrated experience managing a planning team in a fast paced, complex planning environment.
  • Demand and supply planning experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous.
  • Strong leadership skills with first class communication and stakeholder management capability.
  • Advanced Excel Skills
