About the Role:
This is a contract position with durations ranging from 2-12 months, offering you a chance to work on diverse projects and gain exposure to various organizations throughout Sydney. Our clients operate predominantly within the FMCG, Pharma, manufacturing and services sectors and when they hire a financial accountant they will look for a candidate who can perform the following:

Responsibilities:
  1. Financial Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and analyze financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  2. General Ledger Maintenance: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
  3. Compliance and Audit Support: Assist in ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations, policies, and procedures. Provide support during internal and external audits.
  4. Budgeting and Forecasting: Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with relevant stakeholders to develop accurate financial projections.
  5. Financial Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, efficiency, and effectiveness. Implement changes to optimize financial operations.
  6. Fixed Assets and Depreciation: Manage fixed asset registers, track asset additions and disposals, and calculate depreciation expenses accurately.
Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Accountant, with a minimum of 3-5 years in finance-related roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial principles, accounting standards, and bookkeeping practices.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to consistently deliver accurate results.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines.
  • A flexible mindset, adaptable to different project requirements and organizational cultures.
