We have a great opportunity for an experienced IT Sourcing Lead to contribute to the transformation of a major retailer ging through change. We are seeking a talented individual on a 12-month fixed-term contract to lead the IT sourcing initiatives during a crucial phase of the businesses journey. As the IT Sourcing Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping their IT contracts (hardware and software) and facilitating the implementation of cutting-edge Procure-to-Pay (P2P) system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to identify IT sourcing needs and develop a comprehensive sourcing strategy tailored to the demerger process.
  • Lead end-to-end procurement activities for IT contracts, ensuring best value, timely delivery, and compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Engage with internal stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective IT procurement strategies, considering both short-term goals and long-term sustainability.
  • Drive vendor selection, negotiation, and relationship management, while striving to achieve optimal terms and conditions for the organization.
  • Oversee the implementation of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) software, working alongside IT teams and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Analyze market trends and technological advancements to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation within IT sourcing.
  • Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure that all IT contracts adhere to relevant legal and regulatory frameworks.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in IT sourcing and procurement, preferably in a retail, FMCG or banking environment (advantageous).
  • Experience working through a demerger (advantageous)
  • Strong negotiation skills, with a track record of successfully managing and optimizing IT contracts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience in navigating complex organizational structures and managing change effectively.
