About the Role
The Victorian Operations Manager is a high-profile leadership role responsible for delivering a high level of customer service while maintaining a safe working environment and contributing to organisational profitability. The Branch Manager creates and fosters a high performing team culture and a values-driven approach to work. Specific accountabilities include:
  • Leading a team of ~20 across operations, customer service, transport planning and sales.
  • Additional responsibility for a large team of long term, 3rd party transport providers.
  • Leading site and transport operations within an EPA licensed environment.
  • Leading improvements in OH&S risk reduction.
  • Maintaining EPA compliance and continue to improve environmental protection.
The Victorian Operations Manager ensures that their business is appropriately resourced from a personnel and equipment perspective to meet targets relating to safety, service, and has full P&L responsibility for their business, so is responsible for financial reporting, budget preparation and cost reduction initiatives.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate will be an experienced operations professional with well-rounded commercial accumen. Ideally from the industrial services or transport industry, you will have demonstrated leadership skills and exceptional influencing and negotiating skills. Your customer-centric focus and the ability to energise and get the best out of your people will be the key to your success in this role.
